All About Nathaniel

Hi friends and family!

I am trying my hand at blogging. I am very new to this and a little intimidated by the technology, but here goes! Our schedule is so crazy now a days with driving back and forth to the hospital that we decided the best way to send out info about Nathaniel is to blog. This way everyone can visit the site for updates and I don't have to try and call or text 50 people.

As of yesterday, July 23, Nathaniel was weighing in at 6 lbs. and 5 oz. I was able to hold him for the first time yesterday. It was wonderful to finally have him in my arms. They tried to feed him yesterday also. This did not go very well. He had a very difficult time swallowing. As a result of this he will be having more tests done. This time he will be seeing the Ear, Nose, and Throat Specialist to make sure his esophagus formed correctly. If these tests turn out fine then they will check for Acid Reflux. So, the testing continues and so does his time in the hospital. This is very frustrating for all of us. We want the doctors to find out everything that is wrong and help him get better. But, on the other hand it is very hard to walk out of a room leaving your baby behind hooked up to monitors and then just get in your car and drive home.

All of your prayers are greatly appreciated. We love all of you and will update this site again when his test results come in. That however, may not be until Monday. In the mean time, I am putting some pictures on the site of our little guy for everyone to enjoy. He really is beautiful!
