Wonderful Visit

Hello everyone!

Yesterday we were able to go see Nathaniel again. We had a wonderful visit. He was the most alert that I have seen him. I was able to hold him for hours. Also, they have begun to increase his feedings. He is now taking 18 ml an hour through his feeding tube. I also was given the opportunity to clean his colostomy bag. I was really happy about that since he is coming home with the colostomy bag. I want to make sure that I know how to do it right.

Also, Nathaniel has a wonderful nurse. Her name is Barbara and she is great! I felt peace about leaving him with her. She is also his nurse today. She won't be there tomorrow but we are going back tomorrow, so it works out great. Tomorrow, Nathaniel will be seeing the ENT at 12:45. I hope that we will be able to get the results of the test tomorrow also. I will be staying at the hospital for several days hoping to actually talk to a doctor in person. Maybe I can get a straight answer about when Nathaniel might be able to come home. I may not be able to up date the blog for a few days so please be patient and keep praying for us. We love you all!

Glad to hear that Nathaniel is improving. So glad you put up this blog. I bookmarked it right away so that I could track Nathaniel's progress. We will keep you in our prayers and hope that he can come home with you soon. I know it cannot be easy to have to leave him behind. But God is with him even after you go home, and that makes me smile.
