2 Corinthians 1:10-11 He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and He will deliver us. On Him we have set our hope that He will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.
I love those verses! They reassure us that our prayers do make a difference. They also tell of God's faithfulness and kindness. Paul tells how God delivered him and Timothy. He also shares that the prayers of the believers in Corinth helped him. The Lord allows us to actively participate in His works. When we pray for others and the Lord answers those prayers, then it encourages our faith and those around us.
We all have had those days when we have felt physically or spiritually wore out. When we can admit to others that we need prayer, then they are able to rejoice in our deliverance too. They become a part of the mighty works of the Lord. Then everyone can rejoice and praise God; those who prayed and saw their prayers answered, and those who needed the Lord's deliverance.
Today, I am in the deliverance category. Yesterday, I went to the doctor and they confirmed that the physical problems I have been having are a result of several small cysts. I go back to the doctor Dec. 1st to have a biopsy done. The doctor just wants to make sure that there are no other problems. I am not really concerned about the biopsy. I don't feel like it will turn up anything abnormal. However, it does look like the solution to my problem is to have a hysterectomy. I have to admit that I am not exactly thrilled by this option. Things become difficult enough when you have a child that is recovering from surgery. To possible throw in a surgery of my own into the mix, frankly is a little overwhelming. So, I am asking for your prayers. Join with me and see the deliverance of the Lord. Whether he chooses to completely heal me without surgery, or He gives me strength to make it through it all, I need your prayers.
Also, Nathaniel will be going Tuesday to have his tests run and schedule his surgery. Now that he is older, he anticipates the needles and discomfort that goes along with the tests. Please pray that the Lord gives him peace and that the nurse can hit the vein the first time. Thanks guys and I will keep ya'll updated.

Hey Marcia,
This is Stephën (aka Acts7). Its challenging and a bit scary when you hear things like that. Lorrie (my wife) just went through similar experience about 4 months ago. And about 2 months ago she had a hysterectomy. They did the full-on surgery meaning it wasn't the simple laproscopic version. While she's still struggling the feel better she's definately better and in considerably less pain than she had been. Lorrie and I will keep praying for you and God's healing. As well as for Rob and your terrific family!
Thanks so much Stephen and Lorrie.
